Written by teachers and students – past and present – of Queen Mary's Grammar School, 'Marians on the Mawddach' is a collection of anecdotes, stories and essays, commissioned to raise funds for the school's outdoors centre in North Wales.
To reflect the different voices featured throughout the book, I chose a non-formulaic layout to allow the reader to dip in to the book in a non-linear way. The illustration I created for the cover of the book worked perfectly across various marketing materials including flyers, pin-badges, press ads and tote bags produced to promote the book's release.
The initial print run of 1,000 quickly sold out, helping to raise over £10,000 for the school.
